Dental Technology We Offer
We use digital dental x-rays to reduce your radiation exposure by up to 90%, compared to traditional film-based x-rays. A digital dental x-ray is also more fast, safe, and accurate.
Soft Tissue Laser
We use laser dentistry for gum contouring, removing small oral lesions, and treating cold sores. Lasers are effective for cold sore treatment because they destroy the herpes simplex virus that causes cold sores.
We use an intraoral camera no bigger than an electric toothbrush to take high-quality pictures of your teeth and gums. This allows our dentist to better diagnose oral health issues and help you understand what’s going on inside your mouth. Since the intraoral camera takes pictures in high detail, we’re able to detect tooth decay, gum disease, and other problems in their early stages.
Oral Cancer Screening
According to the National Institutes of Health, approximately 37,000 Americans are diagnosed with oral cancer each year. Approximately 8,000 of these diagnoses result in death. Fortunately, our dentist uses oral cancer screenings to catch mouth cancer in its early stages so you have the best chance of survival. Our dentist was trained by one of the nation’s top oral pathologists, Don John Summerlin, and provides regular and thorough oral cancer screenings to all patients.

DIAGNOdent Laser Cavity Detection
We use DIAGNOdent to detect weaknesses in tooth enamel before they become cavities. We use a laser to measure the density of your tooth, which is perfectly safe. By detecting cavities early, we’re able to save as much natural tooth structure as possible.
If you have severe tooth discoloration, our dentist may recommend deep bleaching. Deep bleaching combines both at-home and in-office teeth whitening options so you can start smiling with confidence.
Interactive Patient Education
We offer the CAESY DVD software program to help you understand your treatment options, as well as post-op instructions. The software program covers a range of topics from preventive, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry. We want to help you feel informed while seeking treatment for your smile.
The Smile Channel
The Smile Channel is a CD-based dental education and consultation system that features video, computer animations, and hundreds of beautiful cosmetic cases. You can watch it in the waiting room the next time you visit our dentist office.
